Venue
ISITIA 2024, the 26th International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications, will be held in Surabaya on July 23–25, 2025. Surabaya, Indonesia, is the capital of East Java province and the second-largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta. The city is well known as a center for trade, business, and industry, and it is also one of the largest port cities in Southeast Asia.
Surabaya is also known by the nickname “City of Heroes” due to its important role in Indonesia’s independence struggle. The city serves as the economic hub of East Java and boasts comprehensive infrastructure, including Juanda International Airport, Tanjung Perak Port, and a modern transportation network.
In addition, Surabaya is a city rich in culture and history, with famous landmarks such as the Heroes Monument (Tugu Pahlawan), Suramadu Bridge, and Surabaya Zoo. The city also offers numerous modern shopping centers and beautiful city parks, making it a center for business, education, and tourism activities.
All sessions of ISITIA 2025 will be held in a hybrid format in Surabaya, East Java. The city is easily accessible by public transport from across the region, including trains, buses, and flights from various parts of Indonesia.
Transportation
From Juanda International Airport Surabaya:
Using Airport Taxi:
You can use the official airport taxi available at the arrival terminal. The estimated fare from Juanda to Hotel Bumi Resort is around Rp 150,000 – Rp 200,000, depending on traffic.
Using Online Transportation:
You can also book online transportation (Grab or Gojek) directly from Juanda Airport to Hotel Bumi Resort for a cost of about Rp 100,000 – Rp 150,000, depending on the time and traffic conditions.
Using DAMRI Bus:
If you prefer public transport, you can take the DAMRI bus from Juanda Airport to Terminal Bungurasih (Purabaya) first. The DAMRI fare is approximately Rp 25,000. From Terminal Bungurasih, you can continue your journey to Hotel Bumi Resort using a taxi or online transportation for an additional cost of around Rp 50,000 – Rp 80,000.
The journey from Juanda to the city center of Surabaya and Hotel Bumi Resort can take approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

03.00 – 04.00: Travel to Seruni Point by four-wheel drive car.
04.00 – 07.00: Enjoy Panoramic BROMO view and sunrise at Seruni Point +2,400m above sea level.
07.00 – 08.00: Having breakfast at Lava View Resto.
08.00 – 09.00: Visit BROMO SAVANNAH & WHISPERING SAND +2,200m above sea level
09.00 – 10.30: Visit Sea Sand & BROMO Crater +2,329m above sea level
10.30 – 14.00: Driving back, schedule a stop for Friday Prayer and lunch time (at Tongas Asri Resto or similar-quality restaurant)
14.00 – 17.00: On the way back to Surabaya

Visa Information
The visa we are about to describe is the Visit Visa, issued by the Indonesian Embassy. This type of visa is issued for one-time travel and is intended for purposes such as participating in seminars. There are two types of Visit Visa that can be used:
Visit Visa on Arrival: This visa can be applied for if the nationality of the applicant(s) is included on the Visa on Arrival countries list. A list of countries eligible for applying for Visa on Arrival (VOA) can be seen here.
Visit Visa: This visa can be applied for by the applicant(s) in the Indonesian Embassy or Consulates or by the guarantor(s) of the applicant(s) to the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta. This kind of visa is more recommended than VOA to avoid long lines in the airport. This visa can be applied for here.
Visa Requirements
1. Visit Visa on Arrival
a. A valid passport that is still valid for at least 6 (SIX) months from the date of request
b. Valid return tickets to and from the country
2. Visit Visa
All of the above, plus:
a. Letters of application and guarantee from the applicant(s) and guarantor(s)
b. A copy of valid bank accounts, living costs, and spending plans while in Indonesia
c. ID photo in full color, dimensions of 4×6 cm
3. Visit Visa; applicants are stateless or have no nationality
All of the above, plus:
a. Valid reentry permit, either as a letter of request from the Government or a letter of approval from an official
Visa Procedure
This procedure applies to those applying for a standard Visit Visa.
- The applicant(s) submits their visa application to the local Indonesian Embassy/Consulates and pays the required amount (telex fee payment).
- Embassy/Consulates check applications for approval/forwards application to the Directorate General of Immigration for approval (for stateless/non-nationality persons).
- If the requirements are satisfied and payments have been made, the visa should be issued within 3 business days.
- Applicants proceed to Indonesia. Entry stamps will be obtained at the border or upon arrival.
