SENTA 2021: Driving Smart and Sustainable Innovation in Marine Technology
Embracing the challenges of the digital era, the Faculty of Marine Technology (FTK) at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) successfully conducted the 6th International Conference on Marine Technology (SENTA 2021). Held virtually on Saturday (27/11), the event served as a global platform for exchanging breakthrough research and innovative solutions in the maritime field.
The conference, themed “Smart and Sustainable Research and Innovation in Marine Technology,” emphasized the synergy between technological intelligence and environmental responsibility. Key discussion areas included automation in ship design, digital transformation in port logistics, and the development of renewable ocean energy to support a greener maritime industry.
Prominent international speakers shared their expertise during the sessions, providing insights into future maritime trends and the implementation of 4.0 technology. The seminar highlighted that sustainable innovation is essential for Indonesia to optimize its vast oceanic resources while maintaining ecological balance for future generations.
SENTA 2021 provided researchers and professionals with the opportunity to present high-quality papers, which were subsequently included in Scopus-indexed proceedings. Through this initiative, ITS reaffirms its commitment to leading maritime excellence and fostering international collaborations that drive global maritime progress.
