Conference Venue (Hybrid)

The International Conference on Computer Engineering, Network and Intelligent Multimedia 2024, CENIM 2024, will be held in Surabaya at the 19th of November 2024. Surabaya, Indonesia, is a vibrant, sprawling metropolis, it mixes modern skyscrapers with canals and buildings from its Dutch colonial past. Surabaya has a thriving Chinatown and an Arab Quarter whose Ampel Mosque dates to the 15th century. The Tugu Pahlawan (Heroes Monument) honors the independence battles waged in Surabaya's streets in 1945. All sessions of CENIM 2024 will be held hybrid in Electrical Engineering Department of Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology. It is easily accessible by public transport from everywhere in the city.

Tower 2 ITS was officially inaugurated by the Rector of ITS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Mochamad Ashari MEng IPU AEng on August 17, 2023. The construction of Tower 2 ITS aims to fulfill the need for learning infrastructure and will be utilized by the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Information Technology. Located adjacently to the Department of Electrical Engineering, Tower 2 ITS boasts state-of-the-art facilities and international standards. The first floor of the building features areas such as a lobby, meeting rooms, a VIP transit lounge, a management room, a security room, and a server room. On the second floor, academicians can utilize the department office space, an auditorium, and student service facilities.
In addition to its administrative functions, the building also provides academic facilities on floors three to eight. These floors house various laboratories such as the Biocybernetics Laboratory, Biomedical Instrumentation and Signal Processing Laboratory, as well as department and joint lecture rooms. The ninth floor features the Cyber Security Laboratory and the Network and Digital Signal Processing Laboratory.
The tenth floor is dedicated to lecturer rooms for the Department of Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The eleventh floor, on the other hand, serves as a multipurpose room and prayer room.
Furthermore, Tower 2 ITS has been designed with accessibility in mind, providing disabled access to promote an inclusive campus and learning environment. The building is also equipped with a Building Automation System (BAS) and Solar Panels to optimize energy efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.

Conference Location

CENIM 2024 will take place in the Tower 2 Building of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember.

Transportation

Arriving by plane

Surabaya has an airport, Juanda International Airport (SUB). Juanda (SUB) is about 18km from the conference venue. By taxi, this takes about 40 minutes.

Arriving by train

The closest train station is Gubeng Station. From the station, it takes 10 minutes to get to the venue by taxi.

Visa Information

The visa we are about to describe is the Visit Visa , issued by the Indonesian Embassy. This type of visa is issued for one time travel and is intended towards purposes such as participating in seminars. There are two types of Visit Visa that can be used:

Visit Visa on Arrival: This visa can be applied for if the nationality of the applicant(s) are included on the Visa on Arrival countries list.

Visit Visa: This visa can be applied by the applicant(s) in Indonesian Embassy or Consulates or by the guarantor(s) of the applicant(s) to the Directorate General of Immigration in Jakarta.

Visa Requirements

  1. Visit Visa on Arrival
    1. A valid passport that is still valid for at least 6 (six) months from the date of request
    2. Valid return tickets to and from the country
  2. Visit Visa
  3. All of the above, plus:
    1. Letters of application and guarantee from the applicant(s) and guarantor(s)
    2. A copy of valid bank accounts, living cost and spending plans while in Indonesia
    3. ID photo in full color, dimensions of 4x6cm
  4. Visit Visa, applicants are stateless or has no nationality
  5. All of the above, plus:
    1. Valid reentry permit, either as letter of request from the Government or letter of approval from an official

Visa Procedure

This procedure applies to those applying for a standard Visit Visa.

  1. Applicant(s) submits visa application to local Indonesian Embassy/Consulates and pays the required amount (telex fee payment).
  2. Embassy/Consulates checks application for approval / forwards application to the Directorate General of Immigration for approval (for stateless/non-nationality persons).
  3. If the requirements are satisfied and payments have been made, the visa should be issued within 3 business days.
  4. Applicants proceed to Indonesia. Entry stamps will be obtained in the border or upon arrival.
